Justin Vincent swims to a driving four-bagger on Thursday card
On a night that seemingly only a duck could like driver Justin Vincent recorded four winning drives. Vincent visited the winner’s circle after the third raced when he scored a popular win aboard Boots Place in a night’s fastest 1:55.3. This was the first win of the year for shipper trained by Michael Temming for owner Bernard R. Segebade. That winner re-tied the Temming in the race for leading trainer with eighteen wins each with John Wagner.
Vincent returned to the winner’s circle in the fourth race with another Temming winner, this one appropriately named I’m So Happy who has become another horse since shipping from Monticello where she a win and a place in her first six starts. I’m So Happy hit the track at Rosecroft and has won five out of six starts
Vincent wasn’t done yet as Crown Time Yooray scored win number three in her one hundredth career start. Vincent has won three times with this one and pulled a massive upset paying $41 as she gunned down leader and favorite Be The Best in the final yards for her second seasonal score. Gary Botsch owns the winner and his father Robert Botsch trains.
Sonomas Best, owned by Robert Short and trained by Wayne Short, was a maiden after thirty starts entering the sixth race on Saturday night, she added lasix for that start and Justin Vincent got her home a winner. Go forward five nights and Sonoma’s Best and Vincent got together for the second time and Sonoma’s Best is now a two time winner going right down the road and making every pole a winning one.
John Wagner had a driving double and won with Super Chuck in the first race as a trainer. As racing goes into the final night on Saturday, he has eighteen wins and is one behind Michael Temming in the battle for the trainer’s title.
Wagner has six starters on Saturday night and Temming five so it will most likely come down to the final races to determine the leading trainer.
