I Told Gordy explodes the tote board

On a night were fast miles were the normal Thomas Swann’s I Told Gordy exploded the tote board paying $30 to win in a 1:52.3 mile after closing like a missile to get by the game Varsity Hanover (Justin Vincent). Varsity Hanover and Talbot Redneck battled nose to nose through early fractions of 26; 54.1; 1:22.2 before entering the stretch. Varsity shook off Talbot Redneck at that point and tried to get away, but Gordy, in rein to Justin Brenneman, closed strongly to gain the score. Varsity Hanover held on after demanding trip for the place, beaten a neck and Trouble Hanover overcame road trouble to gain the show. The half and three quarter’s time were the fastest of the Rosecroft Renaissance.

Complete Desire (Justin Vincent driving) took advantage of some confusion after a break on the backside to score in 1:51.3 in the “Winner’s Over” pace.  Eugene Startt conditions this one for owner Brian Vest.

In the “Winner’s Over” trot, Four Starz Robro was under hounding pressure the entire way and at the three-quarter’s pole the entire field of six was within four lengths of the leader. Robro went down swinging and Baximum, with trainer Robert Clark at the controls, had the most trot late to gain the decision. Go Nano Go put in a game effort for the place and Baby Blaze, last week’s winner of this class, was right there for the show.

John Wagner had a triple winning with Lislea Pat in the fourth, DVC Jazzy Colt in the fifth and closed out the night with a win abroad Brighton Bay One.

The entry box for Saturday’s card opens at noon on Wednesday and closes at 3 pm of Wednesday. The box for next Tuesday’s card opens at noon on Thursday and closes at 3 pm on Thursday.
