Carter and Wagner score triples at Rcr

Carter and Wagner win three and Milby two at Rosecroft

Billy Carter continues to be the hot driver at Rosecroft having nine drives on Saturday and winning three races, while finishing second three times including with 59 to 1 shot Caviar Royale in the fourth race.

Carter’s first win came in the second race with classy old veteran King Rova who put up his best winning time in 2 years with a 1:58.1 wire to wire score for trainer Sherif Cunmulaj and owner Ameer Najor. This was King Rova’s 40th career win and puts him over $370,000 in lifetime earnings.

Carter returned to the winner’s circle with Beep Beep Bye Bye who is a good looking Like A Prayer two year old filly. Leon Harris conditions this one who has won four times in his brief career and is owned by Harris and Scott Warnick.  This one has hit the ticket in every race but a very tough Kentucky Sire Stakes event and made it three wins out of four starts at Rosecroft.

Carter wasn’t finished though and came back for a winner’s photo one more time with Micheles Dream Guy who won the 8 year old and up handicap for owner-trainer Perry D’Ortone. This one had been facing tough ones at Harrah’s Philadelphia and gamely held off the fast closing Bucktown Badboy (Justin Brenneman driving) for the score.

Wagner scored a consecutive double in races four and five, winning the fourth with Pattyslooschange and the fifth with Delaware Fortune. He closed out the night with a sharp score aboard Kerry Welty’s Pegasus Man, trained by Judy Welty, who made a big middle move and held sway to the wire.

Veteran Frank Milby  scored a driving double with the night’s fastest mile with Boca Hanover (1:53.1) and also won with Ciera Rose.
