Tim Curtin picked up a catch-drive in the seventh race on trainer Frank Riviello’s Okeechobee Joe and got flushed out first over. ‘ Joe continued to march on and grabbed the lead near the three-quarter’s pole.  He held sway the late closers and recorded his seasonal mark of 1:58.3. Curtin made it a natural double as he made two moves to the lead for owner-trainer Arlene Cameron’s Red Hook and prevailed in a lifetime mark of 2:00.2.

Also of note was Midnight Blue’s night’s fastest mile of 1:55.3 for trainer Richard Mathurin Jr. Mark Jordon drove the winner who made a move at 3/8th pole and never had an anxious moment to the wire. This mile broke this one’s maiden.
