Scootin Cammie and Metrodisle head Saturday night

Rosecroft card

Lakesiha E. Cannon’s Scootin Cammie comes off a huge off the pace score in her last mile and is the early choice in the third race at Rosecroft on Saturday night. Trainer-driver Brandon Henley sat patiently off quick early fractions and followed cover to pounce on the leaders last week. Bunafide Artist, from “Team Robinson” has been facing tough ones so far this year, been racing well and should be a major challenger here.

In the nightcap Metrodisle was a winner last week via the first over route and shows three wins and a place in her last six starts for owners Joseph Offutt and Samuel Stoltzfus. Offutt trains the four year old mare and son Tim Offutt is the pilot. This one has nine career wins, but six of them came on the PA fair circuit. Still she’s worth noticing for her roughly 25% career winning percentage. The always tough Rocket Rosy, owned and trained by Roger Hans, needed her first seasonal start and draws an inside post and will be a major player for driver Donnie Russell.

First post for the card is 7:25 and as always, Rosecroft provides the best in harness and quarter-horse simulcasting.
